The War on Women's Bodies
Discrimination against women doesn't happen primarily through the crazy right wing or other anti feminist constituencies. It happens largely through the rest of us just not getting involved. It's the power of the silent majority. Tricia Rose joins The War Room with Jennifer Granholm.
“Being a woman doesn't make you a feminist. Being African-American doesn't make you someone who fights for racial equality. So the question is where is the education to show everyone, not just women, that women are vulnerable, how sexism works, that rape is and violence against women is an act of domination, not an act of desire. We have to be educated about that. And I find in my classes on feminism that young women just don't know. Where are they going to get it from? VH1?” - Tricia Rose
